Siamak Namazi (born October 14, 1971, Tehran, Iran), an Iranian-American business consultant. He is now the managing director of Atieh Bahar Consulting, a Tehran-based firm that advises foreign investors.
He also serves on the editorial board of Iran Strategic Focus, a monthly publication that features news and analysis of political and economic developments in Iran.
Namazi has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University and an MS in Urban Planning from Rutgers University, under a Russell Fellowship.
From November 2005 to February 2006, he was a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy where he worked on a comparative study of different models of economic reform and their impact on political development, as well as the role of the private sector in promoting good governance.[1]
In 2005, he was a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.[2]
In 2004, he was a visiting scholar in the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC.[3]
He is also a founding member of the Canada-based NGO, the International Association of Iranian Managers.[4]
